Celebrating Our Journey: Honoured to Be Shortlisted for Two Prestigious Awards

At Radical Weavers, we believe that change is not measured solely by trophies or recognition but by the impact we have on the lives of the individuals and communities we serve. While we didn’t take home the top prize at the Scottish Thistle Awards for Inclusive Tourism or the National Diversity Awards for Community Organisation for LGBT, we are incredibly honoured to have been shortlisted for both.

Being considered for these prestigious awards is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion that our team and community have poured into making our mission a reality. At the Scottish Thistle Awards, we were recognised for our commitment to inclusive tourism—working to create spaces that welcome everyone, regardless of background, identity, or ability. At the National Diversity Awards, we were proud to stand alongside organisations doing extraordinary work for the LGBT community. In fact, to be shortlisted from over 90,000 nominations was a humbling experience in itself.

We want to congratulate the truly deserving winners of both awards. Their work inspires us to push forward, to continue striving for social justice, inclusivity, and community empowerment. Each of the nominees and winners serves as a reminder of the power we all have to create meaningful change in our communities.

At Radical Weavers, this recognition fuels our passion even more. We remain committed to weaving together a tapestry of support, advocacy, and empowerment for our community. Every day, we work to uplift those whose voices often go unheard and to ensure that each person has the opportunity to thrive in a just and inclusive world.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. We may not have won this time, but with your continued support, we will keep pushing forward, making a lasting impact, one thread at a time.

Together, we’ll continue to weave change.

In solidarity,
The Radical Weavers Team
